Job Title: Female Complex Healthcare Assistant Location: Dunstable Shifts: 12-hour Day Shifts: 08:30 20:30 12-hour Night Shifts: 20:30 08:30 Pay Rate: £13 - £16 per hour during a six-month probationary period (subject to increase upon successful completion of probation). Job Description KASE Care is currently seeking dedicated and experienced Female Complex Healthcare Assistants to provide high-quality, person-centred care to a service user in Dunstable with complex healthcare needs. This individual has a spinal cord injury and an acquired brain injury, requiring specialist care and support in their home environment. The role involves working 12-hour shifts (days and nights), providing essential care and support while ensuring the service user's comfort, safety, and dignity at all times. Key Responsibilities: Tracheostomy & Ventilator Care: Including regular suctioning and cough assist. Autonomic Dysreflexia Management: Recognising and responding appropriately to symptoms. Moving & Handling: Using a hoist for safe transfers. Medication Administration: Rig medication management and administration in line with care plans. Diabetes Management: Monitoring blood sugar levels and responding accordingly. Specialist Feeding: PEG feeding and ensuring adequate nutrition. Catheter Care: Monitoring and assisting with catheter management. General Personal Care: Supporting with hygiene, dressing, and daily living tasks. Companionship & Emotional Support: Ensuring the service users well-being and quality of life. Candidate Requirements: Must be female due to the personal care needs of the service user. Previous experience in complex care is highly desirable. Comfortable working in a home environment with a dog, as the service user lives alone with their pet. A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to care. Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team. Recruitment & Training Process: All successful candidates must attend a recruitment day at our head office in Loughton. If successful during the recruitment and interview stage, candidates must complete a five-day intensive induction, also held at our head office in Loughton. Comprehensive training will be provided, including specialist training on all aspects of the service users care needs.
