Transport Resourcing & Performance Executive Salary £25,000 - £27,000 Permanent FT 35 hours per week Hybrid Home / Hub working with occasional travel to our operating port locations required (Crawley or Enbrook, Folkestone Hubs) Our Travel operations team here at Saga is currently seeking two Transport Resourcing & Performance Executives. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the resource function within the Transport Department at one of the most recognised and trusted brands amongst UK consumers in our demographic. As a Transport Resourcing & Performance Executive, you will be responsible for assisting the management of both internal and external resources, to achieve both quality and costing targets in the delivery of chauffeur driven and private hire journeys to our holiday customers across the Saga Group brands. One of the roles will have a focus working with the fleet whilst the other our affiliates. You will work closely with our fleet and supplier management on our key resources (vehicles, fleet drivers and affiliate partners). Diligently allocating available resources and owning the completion of cost-effective plans based on our operational KPIs. You will have the opportunity to identify and implement solutions that improve systems and processes, to deliver a world-class service to our customers with consideration to cost effectiveness. This role would be ideal for someone working in a Transport, Logistics or similar environment who has experience utilising tools such as excel and planning systems in their role. Having experience managing relationships with third party suppliers in your career, or exposure to an operations environment within sectors including transport and travel is advantageous. Occasional flexibility to travel to our ports in Dover and Portsmouth is required within this role. Travel outside of your base hub is covered by our expenses policy. Successful candidates can expect 1st stage virtual interviews to take place between 23/04 - 28/04 Role Responsibility Generate MI reportsto analyse resource availability across fleet drivers, vehicles, and third-party locations, and take proactive action to resolve any identified shortfalls. Supply efficient routesfor in-house fleet drivers and third-party suppliers, ensuring compliance with company rules and parameters. Working closely with the operations to ensure resources are prioritised for work re-allocation to fleet drivers based on quality of service and efficient costs. Manage relationships with key suppliers, resolving account-related queries, performance issues, invoicing, and miscellaneous requests. Oversee supplier administration, including managing the supplier inbox, invoicing, expenses, contracts, licensing/insurance documentation, and general queries. Manage and confirm transfersallocated to the resource network, reassigning transfers if declines occur, and ensuring the acceptance process runs smoothly. Analyse datato improve first-time acceptance rates, minimizing future reallocations and optimizing efficiency. Allocate internal vehicle resourcesacross UK locations to ensure service, repair, licensing, and safety compliance. Collaborate with operationsto prioritize resources based on service quality and cost efficiency, including being the point of contact for all escalations relating to changes, cancellations, queries, and any alterations that may affect the efficiency of any route, and liaising with appropriate team members. Ensure accurate journey ratesare loaded into the planning system and manage adjustments for efficiency. Conduct post-delivery service analysis, producing MI reports to identify areas for improvement in quality, cost, fleet driver performance, and SLA adherence. The Ideal Candidate Good level of computer skills, including use of 3 rd party systems and MS Office packages Working in a Transport/Logistics environment utilising Excel, planning systems, and telematics is preferred. Supplier management experience is advantageous. An analytical mindset to achieve the economic transport plans involved in this role, with a constructive and enthusiastic approach to problem solving. Experience making logical and methodical decisions in a fast-paced working environment. Excellent administrative and organisational skills with the aptitude to prioritise and manage time effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience utilising a strong telephone manner. Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, and openness to do so during unsociable hours when meeting deadlines. Good knowledge of the U.K. motorway system and UK postcodes.
