Your new role
At Sacred Heart Community, we create a safe, welcoming home for life, ensuring comfort and security for residents until the end of their lives. We are looking for part-time Kitchen and Laundry Assistants to join our dedicated team!
In your kitchen duties, you will be providing residents with a dining experience which is one of welcome, safety and comfort, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and a high standard of cleanliness of the kitchen and food service areas. You will also have the opportunity to be trained in our facility's laundry procedures, maintaining effective laundry services.
1. Creating a welcoming and resident focused dining experience.
2. Ensuring residents’ individual dietary needs are met.
3. Prepare and serve meals while following food safety regulations.
4. Processing laundry according to procedures.
5. Monitoring the condition of residents clothing and notifying management if replacement clothing is required.
6. Ensure residents laundry is returned promptly and in a presentable manner.
We're looking for someone with
1. A current Food Safe Certificate.
2. Experience in kitchen and laundry work.
3. A compassionate person with a high level of empathy for people from diverse backgrounds.
4. Someone with clear communication and strong people skills, who can stay calm, upbeat, and approachable during a busy day.
