We are seeking a full-time B1.1 Base Maintenance & Modifications Certifying Engineer to join our dedicated Capability Development Team in Humberside. About the Role: This is permanent post supervising a team of non-licensed personnel to conduct Base Maintenance activities including Major & Minor Modifications on company Beech King Air Series aircraft along with other aircraft types. The role’s key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Supervision of non-licensed personnel Certifying of fabricated parts and or modification of structural components on company King Air Series and other company aircraft. Assisting with complex structural repairs either on or off aircraft. Conducting hidden damage inspections of aircraft structures. Removal or installation of aircraft components as required. Support with mechanical or electrical removals and installations as needed. Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures. Perform and document work completed as per appropriate manuals and regulations stipulate. Ensure work is complete in a safe and timely manner, whilst helping with the upkeep of Maintenance facilities and equipment. About you: You will hold an unrestricted UK CAA B1.1 License with Beech 300 and/or type ratings or similar. Experience of modifications, sheet metal work, structural and composite repairs is highly desirable. You’ll have received training from a sheet metal aircraft technical school or have completed an apprenticeship within the relevant field (desirable). You’ll have effective communication skills, in both written and verbal form on an individual level and aircraft status. You will own a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory and control of tools. You will be flexible and able to travel to work at other sites as required. We are particularly looking for candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following: Recent experience and knowledge of Beech 300 and/or Beech 200. C Certification Rating. (desirable) Structural sheet metal repair or modification, or substantiated similar experience. (desirable) Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings. Good IT skills. Current Human Factors Training and proof of Initial Human Factors Training, EWIS and FTS.
