Director of Operations | South Yorkshire
As the Director of Operations, you will be instrumental in driving operational efficiency, fostering a culture of innovation, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance across manufacturing operations. This Director of Operations will play a pivotal role in shaping my client’s strategic direction, optimising processes, and maximising productivity to support their growth objectives.
This Director of Operations duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Develop and implement strategic plans to optimise manufacturing operations, drive efficiency, and enhance productivity.
2. Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team to achieve operational excellence and exceed performance targets.
3. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration to drive positive change throughout the organisation.
4. Oversee resource allocation, capacity planning, and budget management to ensure cost-effective operations.
5. Drive quality assurance initiatives to uphold the highest standards of product quality and customer satisfaction.
6. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, and sales, to streamline processes and support business objectives.
7. Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

8. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
9. Proven track record of leadership success in a manufacturing environment, with at least 7 years of experience in operations management roles.
10. Strong strategic planning and business acumen, with the ability to drive operational excellence and deliver results.
11. Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve ambitious goals.
12. Demonstrated experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
13. Deep understanding of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
14. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions to optimize performance and drive efficiency.
