Role Summary
As a Chef at Clarence House Hotel, youll be part of a close-knit kitchen team responsible for preparing and serving classic, home-style meals that keep our guests coming back. Youll help deliver breakfast, lunch, and evening service, ensuring food quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction remain top priorities.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook meals in line with the hotels set menus and service standards
* Ensure dishes are presented to a high standard, consistently and efficiently
* Support with menu development, seasonal offerings, and daily specials
* Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times
* Assist with stock control, ordering, and waste reduction
* Follow and enforce all food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures
* Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and wider hotel team to ensure smooth service
Requirements
* NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery (minimum); Level 3 preferred
* Valid Food Safety Awareness Certification (Level 2 or above)
* Valid Food Allergy Awareness Certification or equivalent training
* Previous experience in a busy kitchen, hotel, or similar catering environment
* Strong understanding of food hygiene, allergens, and kitchen best practices
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and peak seasons
