Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
Planning and Organising:
* Contributes to the strategy and planning activities of the sales functions.
* Monitors and supervises the gathering of marketing statistics, current market trends, and implements strategies according to statistical analysis.
* Identifies and fixes yearly amount of accounts to be serviced by each sales person, including him/herself. This amount of accounts serviced is variable by market segment and by year and should be reviewed at the beginning of each year with the Sr. Director of Sales & Marketing.
* Continually researches and analyzes opportunities for new business.
* Develops a sales action plan for the offices and reviews and reports on them to the DOSM monthly.
* Leads in the preparation of the yearly Marketing Plan.
* Management & Leadership of the Sales Team:
* The Assistant Director of Sales (ADOS) is the principal sales and administrative executive in the assigned areas of responsibility, and is responsible for the overall operation and staff in the Sales office in Bangkok.
* Maintains close relations with AccorHotels Asia head office in Bangkok for all administrative issues to ensure all AccorHotels policies are duly implemented and strictly followed, respecting Laos regulations and laws.
* Motivates and supports the sales and administrative staff to attain and exceed assigned National and Key Accounts productivity.
* Monitors and supervises his/her team’s production and activities.
* Ensures that all sales reports are submitted on a timely basis with market share information, monthly budget reconciliation, and YTD sales results to goals.
* Monitors and controls the database and ensures its regular update & maintenance.
* In the absence of Sr. DOSM, DOS chairs weekly meetings and disseminates important issues and information to the sales staff.
Qualifications
* At least 1 year of international experience as Director of Sales or in a similar capacity in a luxury hotel environment with the ability to understand global markets that affect the business of the hotel.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience and track record in sales management.
* Proven leadership capability to develop, motivate, and drive team members.
* Proof of previous sales success.
