St Joseph’s School provides a safe and stimulating learning environment for Foundation to Year 6 students, fostering 21st-century skills and a strong Catholic identity that integrates faith, life, and learning. We seek an enthusiastic STEM Teacher / Digital Technologies Leader passionate about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) to inspire creativity, collaboration and innovation in students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching as a specialist teacher in STEM and Digitech (coding and computational thinking) across F-6.
* Design and implement innovative learning experiences that align with the Victorian Curriculum 2.0, particularly within the Science, Technologies and Mathematics learning areas, incorporating the Critical and Creative Thinking capability and Design Thinking.
* Lead and support the integration of digital technologies across the school, inspiring students and staff to explore new and emerging technologies through team teaching and integrated projects.
* Act as liaison between the school’s IT managed services provider and support device management, annual rollover and IT services.
* Develop, cultivate and maintain professional relationships with students, staff and the wider school community.
* Demonstrate a commitment to child safety and well-being, ensuring all students are supported in a safe and inclusive learning environment.
* Current VIT registration.
* A commitment to the safety and well-being of children is essential.
* Accreditation to teach in a Catholic school is preferred and a strong commitment to the Catholic ethos and Catholic identity of the school is required.
* Proven experience teaching STEM and Digitech (coding and computational thinking).
* Strong understanding of contemporary educational trends in STEM teaching and learning.
* Demonstrated ability to create a learning environment that fosters engagement, creativity, innovation and collaboration.
