If so our client is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our clients team About: Our client is a specialist contractor in the facades sector, with expertise in delivering high-quality building envelopes, curtain walls, cladding, and glazing systems. They work on a wide range of projects from commercial developments to residential high-rises, providing innovative solutions for the external envelope of buildings. Role Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor you will manage the financial and contractual elements of faade projects. Youll ensure cost control, procurement management, and smooth project delivery, working closely with project teams from inception through to completion. Key Responsibilities: Procurement: Manage the procurement process by sourcing and evaluating tenders from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring cost-effective purchasing. Financial Control: Monitor and report on project costs, preparing interim valuations, managing variations, and final accounts. Contract Administration: Administer contracts, including preparing valuations, managing changes to the scope of work, and ensuring contractual obligations are met. Client Liaison: Maintain close communication with clients, architects, and project managers to ensure all requirements are met within the financial framework. Cost Control: Monitor the costs associated with materials and labour, ensuring projects stay on budget and within scope. Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to costs and contracts and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Qualifications and Experience: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the facades or subcontract industry. Excellent knowledge of construction contracts. Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage budgets and project costs effectively. Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office applications.
