Advent Bioservices is a growing Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) providing GMP manufacturing of ATMPs and related products, process development and ancillary services. We support the development of complex, breakthrough therapies for a globally diverse market. We are at the forefront of revolutionary medicine in which life-threatening diseases are treated using advanced therapy medicinal products. We currently manufacture in aseptic suites at our MHRA and HTA licensed facility in Sawston, Cambridge.
Job Summary
Based on-site in Sawston, Cambridge, this role will be responsible for supporting the Head of IT by providing technical support to all Advent Bioservices staff by logging and resolving IT issues and dealing with requests. The IT Support Analyst will provide IT support, carry out routine IT tasks, and have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects to help build the IT systems of a rapidly growing business. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders to manage all computerised systems, ensuring that systems remain compliant with current policies and regulations. All work will be carried out under the principles of GMP.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Investigating, diagnosing, and solving computer software and hardware faults.
2. Logging, troubleshooting, and resolving new problems and requests.
3. Monitoring backups and systems and testing recovery procedures; speaking to third party suppliers, troubleshooting, and arranging for hardware repairs.
4. Monitoring vulnerability scans, investigating issues, and resolving or escalating.
5. Monitoring patch management, ensuring clients remain compliant.
6. Ensuring that all IT assets are properly controlled, and software is correctly licensed.
7. Documenting changes and solutions.
8. Supporting new members of staff by provisioning accounts and equipment and undertaking new starter inductions.
9. Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
Experience/Qualifications:
1. Experience of resolving issues efficiently and contributing to the improvement of a company's IT services.
2. Experience in providing superior customer service and support.
3. Experience in Office 365, MS servers, Active Directory, Hyper-V, Veeam, IP Networking, Windows 11, firewall configuration, VLAN configuration, and VOIP.
4. Experience of GAMP 5 and working within a GxP environment.
