Role: Pharmacy Aseptic Technician Banding: Band 5 Location: Wolverhampton Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Working Pattern: Monday – Friday, 08:45AM – 17:00PM Rate: Day: £19 - £22 per hour About the role: The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated Band 5 Pharmacy Aseptic Technician to join our team in Wolverhampton. This role involves providing pharmaceutical services within the Aseptic suite, working across both cytotoxic and non-cytotoxic areas. Duties and Responsibilities: Operating within local Standard Operating Procedures. Receiving, interpreting, validating, dispensing, and issuing prescriptions for in-patients and out-patients. Dispensing and self-checking medications manually and using a computerized automated dispensing system. Qualifications and Experience: Essential: GPhC registered. ACT Accredited. Recent hospital experience delivering technical pharmacy services as a student Pharmacy Technician or qualified technician. Alternatively, recent experience in a community pharmacy setting. Up-to-date knowledge of safe systems of working in Pharmacy. Desirable: Proficiency in weighing, measuring, compounding, and medicine manufacturing. Expertise in preparing infusions and injections with a focus on safety and accuracy. Proven ability to dispense medicines accurately. Standard keyboard skills for using the Pharmacy computer system and other software. Ability to undertake medicines management duties on wards. Knowledge of pharmaceutical procurement. Excellent customer care skills. Up-to-date knowledge of safe systems of working in Pharmacy. Understanding of Health and Safety at work, including COSHH and Manual Handling. Familiarity with Trust Medicines policy and legal requirements for dispensing and supplying medicines. Current understanding of issues facing Pharmacy technical services within the NHS.
