We have an exciting opportunity to join our Warehouse and Logistics Team as a Logistics Administrator.
As a logistics Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of our logistics department. Your responsibilities will encompass various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth flow of goods and material within the supply chain.
What does it involve?
* Producing daily transport plans that are both practical and achievable ensuring minimal cost and maximum profitability
* Communicating with all necessary parties maintain regular contact with all internal departments
* Ensure export documentations is correct and valid and raised in line with HMRC requirements
* Data entry, ensuring all transportation records are kept up to date
* Ensure drivers hours are utilised correctly
* Plan external transport
* Assist with dispatching of all materials to customers and suppliers
What will you need to know…
As logistics administrator you’ll be working in a busy and varied role and we’ll make sure you’ll receive all the necessary training to be successful in your role. Experience of working as a logistics administrator is a bonus but, as a minimum we’re looking for you to demonstrate your:
* Ability to follow standard operation instructions.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Basic level of IT literacy i.e. able to use email, use web-based system for time and attendance.
* Ability to build, maintain effective working partnerships with colleagues – we’re a team and better when we work together!
* Self‐motivated proactive approach to work that is able to demonstrate initiative
* Experience of planning drivers' hours in accordance with uk law
* Knowledge of CPC/Driving law
* Importing and exporting procedures
* Working knowledge of transport planning systems would be advantageous.
Role details
40 hours per week - Days 8.30am -5.00pm
Salary – £24,502
