Owing to a growing pipeline of project-related works, EGIS is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to join their Rail division. The role will be based in London, 3 days a week in the office on average.

Core skills:
* The Quantity Surveyor will have knowledge and experience of pre and post contract management and procurement within commercial contract management.
* The Quantity Surveyor will be expected to utilise experience and knowledge of supplier relationship and contract management to drive efficiencies in the supply chain.
* You must be able to effectively communicate at all levels, both internally and externally.
* You will be working as part of projects and programmes to deliver strategic aims of their designated portfolios. Under this the Quantity Surveyor will require knowledge and experience of programme reporting and commercial processes.
* The Quantity Surveyor will have extensive, proven experience of commercial management within organisations, projects and programmes.
* The successful candidate shall be Educated to degree standard in related subject or Associate Member of a relevant professional institute with Chartered status.
Profile
The key services offered by the Quantity Surveyor are anticipated as, but not limited to the following:
* Will manage, monitor and report on commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated projects.
* Will support the programme and project teams in monitoring for breaches of corporate governance and compliance with commercial governance rules.
* The Quantity Surveyor will lead the commercial review and valuation of medium risk/medium value contractor applications for payment in accordance with contractual terms and conditions and contractual entitlement.
* The Quantity Surveyor will provide proactive advice and guidance to Programme/Project Managers on all change including proposed scope changes and produce all required documentation for approval in accordance with levels of delegated authority.
* Produce appropriate commercial correspondence and contractual notices for issue in accordance with contractual conditions. Make sure that commercial records are retained and archived properly upon close out.
* Manage the final account settlements and internal reconciliation to project close-out as per the project authority.
* Support in the pre-contract procurement of suppliers/main contractors for projects and programmes.
You will ensure that all contractual specifications set out for the management of safety, and as determined by standards and procedures, are effectively implemented and thereafter monitored.
