We are currently recruiting a Professional Development Officer on a full-time nine-month fixed term contract basis. This position sits in the Professional Development team of the Quality and Recognition department within the Professional Qualifications directorate. We are flexible on working from home as well as at the Glasgow office.
The Professional Development team support the directorate’s strategic objectives of delivering first class quality standards and services to ACCA’s global members, future members, and other stakeholders.
The Job
Reporting to the Professional Development Team Manager, on a day-to-day basis, you will be involved in the following:
Undertaking the review of a sample of members’ continuing professional development (CPD) records in accordance with ACCA regulations and regulatory requirements.
Undertaking the audit of a sample of future members’ practical experience requirement (PER) records to support the integrity of the qualification and their progression to membership.
Coaching and advising members on meeting the CPD requirements, promoting the range of CPD guidance, products and tools available to support them.
Responding to internal queries escalated from other ACCA departments and markets in respect of CPD and PER.
Helping to achieve retention and conversion targets and to support the regulatory compliance of members and future members.
Assisting in the delivery and ongoing improvement of processes that support the team’s activities and compliance remit.
Acting in accordance with recommendations from ACCA regulators, ensuring that ACCA continues to meet regulatory responsibilities in relation to CPD and PER.
Undertaking the teams’ BAU work while supporting the Digital Transformation programme.
The Person
We are looking for someone who:
Has excellent IT skills with a working knowledge of Word, Excel and using client databases.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels.
Highly motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic, with the ability to work on their own initiative and flexibly as part of a wider team.
Can utilise their experience in assessing information and using judgement to reach an outcome based on the information presented.
Have a well organised, logical, and methodical approach to work with a pragmatic and sound approach to problem solving.
Have experience dealing with large volumes of work, while meeting tight deadlines and competing priorities.
