Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to provide specialist assessments and interventions for children and young people, with a focus on neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and ADHD. Initially a part-time role (2-3 days per week), there is potential for this position to evolve into a full-time opportunity as you grow within the service. The role offers the flexibility to fit around your current commitments, with opportunities for both clinic-based and remote working. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive Speech and Language Therapy assessments for children and young people, particularly those with neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism, DLD, ADHD, or related mental health challenges. Develop and implement personalised therapy plans, ensuring a holistic approach in collaboration with parents, carers, and other professionals. Contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings, sharing expertise and insights to inform a child’s care plan and ensure a well-rounded approach to treatment. Support families and schools with advice, strategies, and training to enhance communication skills and manage complex needs. Maintain accurate clinical records and provide progress updates on cases. Who We’re Looking For Qualifications : A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy (e.g., BSc or MSc) with and registered with the RCSLT AND ASLTIP Experience : Preferably “trauma informed" working with children and young people, ideally in paediatrics or with neurodevelopmental conditions (autism, ADHD, DLD, mental health). Skills : Strong clinical skills in paediatric speech and language assessment and therapy. Ability to create and implement individualised care plans. Excellent communication skills, both with children and their families and within multidisciplinary teams. Organisational skills to manage a varied caseload. Personal Qualities : Compassionate and patient-focused, with a genuine desire to help children and families. Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals.
