An interesting opportunity for an experienced EFL Teacher to join us in for a short-term contract during the summer.
As our Academic Explorer Tutor, you will utilise your EFL experience to develop our students in areas such as presenting, rhetoric and developing their skills in critical thinking and debate.
Our students are between the ages of 14-17 and usually at upper intermediate level or higher.
Based in our Bloomsbury school in central London, we are only a 3-minute walk from Holborn station.

Stafford House Study Holidays are a British Council accredited, leading provider of summer school study holidays. We welcome thousands of young learners (aged 1417) from around the world each summer. Our mission is to help students improve their English through engaging classroom lessons and a lively program of activities and excursions. What’s in it for you?
* 15 hours per week, allowing you time to spend exploring the city or to commit to other projects
* This is a Fixed Term Contract from approx. 28th June to 25th July 2025 (exact dates to be confirmed)
* £28.10 per hour (rate includes planning and marking) plus holiday entitlement

The essentials that you’ll need, to join us?
* Cambridge CELTA or Trinity Cert. TESOL or equivalent - is essential
* Experience of teaching EFL in a similar capacity is highly desirable
* Educated to degree level (preferred)
* Experience of working with young learners
* Genuine interest in both the teaching and welfare of young students
* Enthusiastic approach
* Already have the right to work in the UK
* Be available for the duration of the contract

* Other TEFL qualifications may be acceptable if they have been validated by an external body, include a minimum of 6 hours of supervised teaching practice with genuine learners and 100 hours of input. Please note that one-day, weekend, online and distance learning courses are not considered equivalent.
