In this context, Grid Solutions is looking for a Project Director who will be responsible for project on-time delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction from the last stages of tendering through handover to execution and up to receipt of the Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC).
The successful candidate will provide leadership to strategically manage risks & opportunities and ensure that the project follows high standards in terms of quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements. They will coordinate with the consortium partner to ensure a smooth delivery of the consortium scope for the customer.

Job Description
Major Responsibilities:
1. Manage the execution phase for the GE scope of a large HVDC project, typically of $1B+.
2. Deliver on Environmental Health & Safety ('EHS'), On-Time-Delivery ('OTD'), and financial objectives (sales, margin, billing, cash) for the GE scope.
3. Ensure project reviews governance in line with GE Grid Solutions operating rhythm.
4. Lead & coach a multi-cultural cross-functional project team composed of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Project Controls (cost & planning), Finance, and Contract Management.
5. Have full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility for the project and drive budget ownership with accountability throughout the project team.
6. Develop and implement the overall strategy for project execution to achieve performance goals.
7. Represent GE towards the customer; manage this interface and relationship.
8. Manage internal and external communication.
9. Set up and secure the necessary resources for project execution.
10. Support the organization of the project team.
11. Coordinate with consortium partner.
12. Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPI).
13. Take immediate actions to guarantee financial, time, quality, and safety performance.
14. Establish, implement, and monitor the Project Quality Plan, Procedures, and EHS Plan.
15. Ensure compliance with specifications at the lowest final cost.
16. Define the strategy for managing claims and direct actions accordingly.
17. Define a Risk Management Plan and constantly review risks and opportunities of the project.
18. Develop and monitor the Master Time Schedule, managing project float to ensure timely completion.
19. Exercise commercial and finance controls during project execution with regular reporting and forecasting of project metrics and KPIs.
20. Ensure coordination of technical support/engineering, manufacturing/supply, and onsite construction resources.
21. Comply with Quality Procedures, work instructions, and Processes at GSI level.
22. Lead the project consortium and set up governance to meet contractual requirements.
23. Build strong collaboration and relationship with the consortium partner.
24. Align with partners on key targets and metrics to monitor performance throughout the project lifetime.
Qualifications / Requirements:
1. Master's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably a technical degree.
2. Extensive experience in managing large and complex turnkey projects (+$500M minimum), preferably in the T&D, Power or Renewable Energy industry.
3. Operations / Project Portfolio management experience (EPC projects).
4. Experience in consortium management on large and complex projects.
5. Knowledgeable in contract management, negotiation strategies, risk, and opportunity management.
