Job summary Frome ward is a 35 bedded General Surgical ward. The ward will receive all of the emergency General Surgical from A&E and clinics and also repatriated patients. On Frome ward you will be caring for acutely unwell patients, some of whom will be pre & post ITU. You will be working very closely with the Critical Care Outreach team, Uro-Oncology & Colo-Rectal CNS Teams as well as the Therapy teams to instigate timely discharges and effective patient flow on the ward. Toassess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. On a regular basis, accept theresponsibility for the management/leadership of the ward/department in the absence of thesenior nurse. To participate in the supervision and teaching of staff and students.
