Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Servisource, part of the Cpl Group, wishes to appoint a Compliance Officer responsible for ensuring that compliance levels for all Care Staff are maintained to a high standard.
This role shall be responsible for compliance with regulatory requirements and minimise any business interruption. The role involves managing existing accreditation while also preparing applications for accreditation under new standards.
Duties of the role will include but are not limited to;
• Responsible for the development departmental policies and procedures to assure applicable regulatory requirements are fulfilled.
• Assure staff receives appropriate regulatory training and mentoring to enable the execution of regulatory responsibilities.
• Schedule resources to manage compliance systems and assure timely completion of:
audits of regulatory records and reports;
inspections of facilities and equipment;
investigations,
audits of methods, practices, and controls;
review/approval of SOPs;
approval of Change Controls.
• Assure that all records and reports are prepared, communicated, and retained in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Taking direction from management in relation to compliance policies and implementation
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory and client audit responses and corrective action commitments.
• Track corrective actions and apprise management of their status.
• Assure vendors and suppliers identified/designated are assessed for the compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Participate in Regulatory Affairs and Compliance projects and programs.
• Perform general auditing duties for compliance with quality standards.
• Assure that Corporate Policies are implemented and administered at the site/operation.
• Support the policy of equal employment opportunity through affirmative action in personnel actions.
• Reporting on staff compliance on a monthly basis to address key areas for improvement
• Ensuring that each staff file contains all necessary documentation based on profession
• Taking direction from management in relation to compliance policies and implementation
• Working closely with the Centralised Recruitment Team and relevant managers to continuously improve compliance levels and to ensure that compliance standards are being adhered to
• Ensure staff are scheduled to attend necessary training as required
• Processing Police applications and managing from submission to completion
• Acting as a point of contact for any compliance related queries
Essential Requirements
• Strong written and oral communication, and proficiency in the English language
• Previous compliance and/or administrative experience within the UK regulations and legislations
• Good working knowledge of pertinent eg: CQC regulations.
• Fully proficient in IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent time management and organisation skills
• Ability to prioritise, multi-task and meet deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
• Access to a car or transport as travel will be involved
