Are you an enthusiastic individual who would like to be part of an outstanding Nursery Team?
Do you have the skills and knowledge to work as part of a team to support the development and delivery of the Early Years Foundation stage to children between the age of 5 months to 5 years in a Nursery Setting?
Main duties of the job
* To work as a team in your allocated age room.
* To plan age appropriate activities for children aged 5 months to 5 years using the EYFS guidance.
* To be a key worker to a group of children.
* To keep up to date development records on your key group.
* To have a sound knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding.
* To provide and develop a flexible service of the highest quality of care and education.
* To promote positive parent partnership with all parents and carers.
* To implement all operational policies and procedures within the Day Nursery.
* To plan for children's individual needs, and document where appropriate.
* To work within a team on a daily basis, supporting each other with daily tasks.
* To respond immediately to any safeguarding concerns and report these concerns in accordance with the nursery policy and procedure.
* To be aware of all children's Health and Safety in the nursery and share relevant information with the management team.
Person specification
Education & Qualifications
* NNEB Diploma/ NVQ level 3 or equivalent
* NVQ level 4
Experience
* Experience with Under-fives in a group setting
* Experience in working as part of a team
* Experience in working in partnership with parents
* Experience working within an NHS Day Nursery
Skills
* Sound Knowledge of child development
* Knowledge of planning using the Early Years Foundation Stage
* Good communication with all, verbal and written
* Good organisation skills
* Good teamwork practice
* Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures
* Knowledge of the code of practice for special Educational Needs
Other Requirements
* Ability to work shifts and flexibility within the system
