A leading manufacturer has a new vacancy for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team. An experienced Maintenance professional, candidates will be responsible for carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance on a range of complex machinery and will also be involved in the installation of new equipment as the company invests in the facility.

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 + benefits

The Role
1. Provide preventative maintenance, installation, overhaul and repair of equipment.
2. Work with management to develop a total preventative maintenance schedule.
3. Assist in developing capital project programs for new equipment and major repairs.
4. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make modifications.
5. Work with the Engineering Manager to identify areas for improvement.
6. Identify continuous improvement actions to machinery and reduce production downtime.
7. Update and maintain internal database to record any fault issues and reordering of parts and products within the engineering department.
8. Record all breakdowns with faults, parts used, actions and times.
The Person
1. Electrical biased, multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer.
2. Prioritising workload to ensure minimum production downtime.
3. Up to date knowledge of electrical regulations.
4. Ability to read drawings and manuals to aid repair and service.
5. Demonstrated ability to use root cause analysis/problem solving process.
6. Worked in a complex manufacturing environment, some exposure to CNC machinery is advantageous.
7. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision including planning of own workload.
