Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit a receptionist for our Music Box at Sighthill Campus.
You will be the first point of contact for both students and hires using the Music Box on the following days/times:
* 3 weekday evenings between 4.30 – 9 (currently Mon/Thur/Fri)
* Saturday between 9 - 4
Main responsibilities:
* To provide a continuous staff presence in the Music Box Reception area and ensure full accessibility to the Music Box facilities for students and external customers during operational hours.
* To provide a professional, welcoming point of contact to all Music Box visitors and students.
* To respond to all queries directed to the Music Box via telephone, email, and in person – redirecting where appropriate.
* To administer and manage commercial bookings of the Music Box facilities.
* To administer and facilitate student bookings of rooms and equipment.
* To process any financial payments made by external customers and students.
* To liaise with the wider college and departments to ensure the Music Box has optimum functionality.
* Responsibility to lock up the building at night.
In addition to scheduled hours, there is occasionally overtime offered outside term time, for cover purposes and on Sunday. While this is not mandatory, all support occasionally steps in to support where needed.
