Due to sustained success and growth are recruiting for a Management Accountant to join our busy team. The Role: The company are looking to add an ambitious and driven Management Accountant to help drive the business forward. You will report directly to the Managing Director and work predominantly at the Swindon Head Office with occasional visits to the Bucks Office & Wales Office. Duties and Responsibilities: Monthly Management Accounts: Preparation and production of accurate monthly management accounts, ensuring timely and insightful reporting to support decision making. Work in Progress (WIP) Reporting: Utilise strong knowledge of WIP reporting to provide detailed analysis of ongoing projects and ensure accurate financial representation. Forecasting and Analysis: Collaborate with departmental managers to review and analyse their monthly forecasts, offering guidance and recommendations for financial performance improvements. Cash Flow Management: Prepare and maintain comprehensive cash flow forecasts to support effective financial planning and liquidity management. Reconciliations: Perform precise bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial records. Intercompany Transactions: Accurately record and reconcile intercompany transactions, maintaining clarity and compliance across accounts. Payments: Oversee supplier and subcontractor payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to agreed payment terms. Ensure ledger is accurate, reconciled and well maintained. Credit Control: Manage the credit controller and credit control processes to optimise collection and reduce outstanding debt. Ensure ledger is accurate, reconciled and well maintained. Payroll: Payroll knowledge an advantage in the unplanned absence of payroll employee. CIS and VAT Returns: Prepare and submit Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) and VAT returns in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Resource Management: Effectively manage resources to maximise productivity and operational efficiency within the team. Software Proficiency: Utilise Sage Line 50 for accounting operations; knowledge of Job costing is essential and Sage Job Costing is an advantage. Staff Development: Provide training and development opportunities for staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
