We are looking for a motivated, experienced professional, preferably from an Orthopaedic background to join our Robotics team covering the UK, Ireland and the Nordics countries as Business Development Manager.
You'll take a proactive approach to identifying and developing strategic business relationships with group purchasing organisations and other potential customers, working closely with the recon sales and marketing team. You'll be accountable for developing strategies for growth, focused on sales budget, building and maintaining key customer relationships whilst identifying new opportunities with key healthcare funders, negotiating and closing business deals with key decision makers and growing your knowledge by staying up to date with current market trends. This position also requires leadership skills as you'll be responsible for leading a dedicated team of technical field specialists.
In this key regional position for the whole UKIN cluster, the ideal candidate will work closely with marketing, sales, and product management teams to achieve sales goals and implement business development initiatives that enhance and grow the robotic technology footprint and generate bottom line revenue for the company.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coach, mentor and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve their targets
2. Partner with our field sales force to identify potential new customers for our robotics platforms.
3. Align commercial models and pricing strategy to customer needs, while ensuring effective partner management and reporting throughout the sales process
4. Attend major conferences to provide marketing insights and competitive inputs
5. Explore opportunities for campaigns, services and distribution channels that can positively increase sales and growth
6. Use market insight and competitors benchmarking analysis to develop unique selling propositions and creative messaging
Requirements
7. Strong people leadership experience is important for this role. You'll have evidence of developing a team of people at various stages in their career - from entry level to experienced hire.
8. Hip and Knee arthroplasty experience is important and Robotics experience is looked upon favourably.
9. Understanding and application of sophisticated sales techniques and evidence of creating, negotiating and closing high value large-scale deals.
