A highly reputable and large Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) in Sheffield is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join their team as Head of Faculty, Maths. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a thriving department within a forward-thinking educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, manage, and inspire the Maths Faculty, fostering a high standard of teaching and learning.
* Develop and implement the faculty's vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with the MAT’s objectives.
* Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff and students, using data to drive continuous improvement.
* Lead the development of the curriculum to ensure it meets the diverse needs of students and prepares them for future academic success.
* Manage departmental budgets effectively, ensuring resources are used efficiently to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
* Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous professional development within the faculty.
* Engage with parents, carers, and the wider community to support the success and well-being of students.
* Work closely with senior leadership to contribute to the overall strategic direction of the MAT.
Requirements:
* A proven track record of successful teaching at secondary level, with substantial experience in Maths.
* Experience of leadership within a school or department, ideally within a larger institution.
* Strong understanding of curriculum development and the ability to implement best practice in teaching and learning.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
* A commitment to raising standards of achievement and promoting student success.
* Experience in managing budgets and resources within an educational setting.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a positive and inclusive approach.
* A passion for fostering a supportive and dynamic learning environment.
* Experience within a MAT or large school setting.
* Postgraduate qualifications or professional development in educational leadership.
