Job Description
Job title: Housekeeping Coordinator
Department: Housekeeping
Inspired & supported by: Executive Housekeeper
Salary: £32,000 (including service charge)
Your purpose will be: To provide an extraordinary and seamless guest experience whilst communicating with all teams and ensuring a high attention to detail. A strong level of initiative and team spirit is essential in this role.
You will be accountable for:
1. Handle all internal and external calls to housekeeping and distribute information efficiently through full utilisation and monitoring of Opera, REX and RSM
2. Working on a rotational basis – morning, evening and weekends
3. Setting teams up for success through undertaking of schedules, task lists, guest preparation and other administration tasks
4. Supporting the leadership and able to cover supervisory support
Your key responsibilities & contribution will be:
5. Oversee staffing levels, timesheets, holiday requests, sickness
6. Deal with all telephone calls and requests
7. Keep close communication with Front Office
8. Liaises with Front Office reception with the position of rooms.
9. Liaises with the Floor Housekeepers
10. Deals with Contractors
11. General office duties
12. Preparation of all arrival and in house guest requirements
13. To assist in any duty required for the smooth running of the department.
14. Records Lost & Found and deals with inquiries.
15. Carries out floor supervisor duties when required
16. To comply with any reasonable requests by the Supervisor and Hotel Management.
17. Ensure all internal and external calls are handled according to our service standards
18. Knowledge of all telephone systems
19. Ensure clear communication channels and methods with all other departments in order to facilitate complete guest service
20. Housekeeping and rooms coordination to ensure the smooth running of daily operation
21. To initiate, develop and maintain excellent service standards with a consistent focus on the guest experience.
Qualifications
What you will need to do this role:
22. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to communicate effectively with people of all levels
23. Proven organizational skills and able to work independently.
24. Enthusiastic and positive with the ability to build trusting relationships
25. Ability to multi task and problem solve in a fast paced environment
26. Keen eye for detail
27. Flexibility to work different shifts - mornings, evenings and weekends
