Brook Street Social Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated Children's Residential Support Workers to create a safe, supportive environment for young residents with learning disabilities. This role involves fostering a nurturing space that empowers young people to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and promote positive childcare practices in line with the aims and objectives of client's services
2. Provide a safe, warm, and supportive environment for young residents.
3. Adhere to policies, equal opportunities guidelines, and company rules.
4. Foster and encourage appropriate contact between residents and their families.
5. Promote and encourage learning and engage young people in educational activities.
6. Develop a responsible attitude in residents towards the environment, furnishings, and equipment.
7. Transport and/or accompany young people on outdoor activities when required.
8. Report missing persons to the Police, local authority, and those with parental responsibility.
9. Act as a key worker for young people, maintaining accurate paperwork, updating care plans, risk assessments, and liaising with social workers and other professionals.
10. Maintain high levels of cleanliness throughout the establishment.
11. Carry out household duties, including shopping, cleaning, cooking, and maintaining the garden areas.
