Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic HCA to join our partnership, on a band 3 payscale (pro rata for part time employees) The candidate must have worked in a GP Practice in the UK, and be able to undertake annual reviews, support QOF and other duties
We are a two partner practice supported by a management and administration team.
You will work within our lovely nursing team that work across both our Bakewell and Tideswell surgeries. Our surgeries have around 9,000 patients and are both set in lovely rural locations.
We require a person with a friendly approach, who has experience of HCA work in general practice.
The applicant will work closely with our Nursing Teams, Community Matron, and other clinical teams.
You will hold your own clinics.

Our nursing team consists of a Lead Nurse, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs, and a Nurse Associate We are looking to expand this team due to internal promotion of our Trainee Associate and an expanding demand

Working under the direct supervision of thesenior practice nurse and strictly in accordance with specific practiceguidelines and protocols, the healthcare assistant will assist the practiceclinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patientcare.
Duties and responsibilities:
Newpatient health checks
ECGrecording
Phlebotomy
Chaperoningduties
Processingand management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses
Vaccine/coldchain storage, monitoring and recording
Vaccinere-stocking and stock rotation
Clearingand re-stocking consulting rooms
Preparingand maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patientcare interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minoroperations
Assistingin the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being
Undertakingspecific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated andtaught specifically in relation to that individual
Helpingto raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted
Assisting with the collection andcollation of data on needs related to health and well-being
