What you will do:
* Prepare for and attend all professional meetings concerning the young people, ensuring proper records and completion of actions.
* Oversee recreational outings and social activities, managing associated risk assessments.
* Develop and coordinate meaningful activities that align with the personal interests and preferences of the young people, expanding their opportunities and experiences.
* Maintain a well-presented home environment that is clean, hygienic, warm, and personalized to the residents.
* Keep up with all home maintenance needs to ensure a safe and inviting atmosphere.
* Manage up-to-date support and placement plans, complete with Positive Behaviour Support plans, ensuring all staff are informed and compliant.
* Promote inclusion and community participation for young people with access to local resources.
* Foster an aspirational culture, driving positive outcomes and ambition in young people.
* Conduct thorough risk assessments concerning the home and young person's support, evidencing staff awareness and understanding.
* Build and nurture positive relationships with families, keeping communication open and supporting family involvement.
* Collaborate with educational settings to enhance learning outcomes and EHC Plans within the home setting.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* Minimum of two years in a relevant residential care position within the last five years.
* At least one year in a supervisory role in a care environment.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (highly desirable).
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (required).
* Experience in participating in Ofsted inspections and knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices.
