Assistant Chef Essex
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £13.21 per hour
Hours: 30-35 per week
An exceptional private nursery and day prep school in Halstead, Essex, catering for 225 students and teachers daily. We offer a core lunch service with some hospitality throughout the year. This is a term-time only contract working 36 weeks a year, Monday to Friday. Benefits include free on-site parking.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Assistant Chef to join our team at one of our prestigious Essex locations.

You will work with fresh seasonal ingredients and regularly changing bespoke menus, providing opportunities to showcase your skills and creativity.
Key responsibilities:
1. Work well in a team, providing breakfast, lunch, and hospitality services.
2. Prepare food using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch, and following company brand standards.
3. Adhere to food standards and control wastage.
4. Follow all Food Hygiene, Health & Safety policies, and allergen control procedures.
5. Deliver excellent customer service.
6. Be a great team player.
Skills required:
1. Genuine interest in food and customer service.

4. Organised with attention to detail.
Knowledge / competencies:
1. Good understanding and use of verbal English.
2. Good standard of written English and reading skills.
3. Experience in customer service or food preparation preferred.
