Who You Are You are an experienced LGV Technician with a strong background in motor vehicle technology, specifically in cars, light goods vehicles, municipal vehicles, and parks equipment. You have practical experience in general hydraulic, welding, and electrical repairs, and possess excellent diagnostic skills. You are flexible and can adapt to changing work environments, including shift work, to meet customer needs. You are able to work under vehicles at varying heights and in confined spaces, and have experience using computer systems for recording work and checking vehicle history. Being a team player is essential in this role. What the job involves The role involves servicing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles, plants, and equipment in adherence to legislative and health and safety requirements. You will conduct vehicle testing following VOSA regulations and ensure that all maintenance functions are performed effectively, efficiently, and to a high standard. Key responsibilities include undertaking risk assessments, liaising with external suppliers for goods and services, managing stock levels, providing roadside assistance, diagnosing faults, and conducting general fleet electrical work, welding, fabrication, and minor repairs. You will inspect vehicles after contractor work, conduct MOT testing, and ensure the cleanliness and safety of the workplace.
