Could you support people to lead great lives?
Come and join our amazing team.
We are a charitable organisation based in the Scottish Borders. We provide care and support to adults to lead great lives. Most of the people we currently support have learning disabilities or mental health problems. Our team help people to live an independent and fulfilling life in their own homes and in the local community.
We are looking to recruit flexible and motivated Relief Support Workers in our Hawick (West) service who would be committed to picking up regular shifts during our busy Summer period in July and August. There will also be opportunities to pick up shifts out with this period to provide cover for holidays and absence. Some experience is preferred but we are equally keen to support people to develop the skills required and a flexible training period, which will be scheduled to work round your other work or studying commitments can be arranged.
If you have a strong value base, enthusiasm, commitment, a good sense of humour plus the ability to work with people with a disability in a positive, honest manner then we would like to hear from you. Some of the people you will support have their own car, therefore to enable them to enjoy the wider community, a valid driving licence, although not essential, would be an advantage.
We are an accredited Disability Confident organisation and we encourage applications from all members of the community.
