Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced clinical digital nursing/midwifery/AHP leader who is passionate to lead on new ways of working using digital and IT to transform patient care. The role will ensure new and existing digital solutions have a high degree of staff engagement ensuring acceptance and adoption across all health care practitioners.
The postholder will provide sound clinical advice and guidance working with Clinical leaders to ensure we optimise care delivery models through digital transformation. The role will ensure that through the achievement of successful digital deployments benefits for care are established and promoted. This requires the individual to have drive and passion to create a digitally driven information culture and act as an ambassador of change and continuous quality improvement across the organisation. You will need significant clinical, medical, digital and change management experience.
The CNIO will manage the Clinical Transformation team across a wide range of digital programmes including our Electronic Patient Records programme. Clinical Transformation team will be responsible for gathering user requirements, solution defining and supporting the embedding of the solution on deployment.
The CNIO will be professionally accountable to the Chief Nursing Officer. They will also provide guidance and offer direction for strategic clinical digital solutions to the Trust Board. They will jointly report to CNO and Chief Clinical Engagement Officer.
Main Duties of the Job
Take responsibility and accountability alongside the CCIO for the strategic clinical direction of digital health Informatics and technology design, implementation, and delivery within the Trust.
Advise the Chief Nurse, CCIO, the senior leadership team and executive team on implications of national and local system wide policy/strategy development from a clinical digital perspective.
Provide leadership, guidance, and exercise judgement in supporting staff to obtain co-operation from a range of clinicians, administrators, members of internal development team(s), users digital professionals whether through one-to-one communication, in large audiences across all levels of seniority within the clinical community.
Be the Senior Clinical Nurse/ Midwife /Allied Health Professional leader responsible for transformation and cultural change to support the safe and efficient design, implementation, and use of digital solutions to deliver improvements in the quality and outcomes of patient care.
Provide a strong Nurse/ Midwife /Allied Health Professional voice and vision using advanced communication methods to ensure best and safest possible digital healthcare systems are delivered.
Understand emerging trends and promote innovation in Nurse/ Midwife/ Allied Health Professional practice within the Trust using new technology e.g., Artificial intelligence.
Celebrate good practice and seek opportunities to endorse best practice through conferences, presentations, and peer review.

Qualifications Essential:
* Registered Nurse/ Midwife/AHP with professional registration with the NMC
* Extensive Clinical experience at a senior Level leadership role
* Masters Level Education or equivalent experience
* Clinical safety officer trained (or willing to undertake)
Personal Qualities Essential:
* Flexibility in working patterns to meet the needs of the service, may include evenings and weekends at time of new system implementation. Ability to travel to other locations as required.
* Passionate about digital technology as a tool to drive up clinical quality of care and support of Nursing, Midwifery and AHP professional practice
* Resilient as occasional exposure to highly emotional circumstances and confrontational interactions with staff, confident and self-motivated with ability to work unsupervised and manage deadlines.

Experience Essential:
* Clinical experience within a Senior Level leadership role.
