Page Personnel are working with an exciting manufacturer based in Wakefield looking for a Management Accountant to join an established finance team in a successful and growing company. This role is responsible for accounting tasks and financial management, as well as providing accurate financial information to support decision-making processes.
Job Description
Reporting to the Finance Manager, as a Management Accountant you will be responsible for:
1. Preparing and analysing monthly and weekly management accounts and financial statements
2. Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
3. Identifying trends and areas for improvement
4. Performing financial analysis and reporting to management
5. Ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements
6. Implementing internal controls and procedures
7. Liaising with external auditors
8. Managing and mentoring junior team members
9. Attending meetings and presenting to Senior Management
10. Participating in special projects as required
The Successful Applicant
* Part-qualified or QBE Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or relevant finance degree
* Proven experience in management accounting, preferably within the hospitality industry
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to work
