Job summary Provide a service to Patients who are eligible for Practice dispensing To contribute to the efficient and effective running of the practice dispensary To provide a repeat prescription ordering service to patients/carers and nursing and residential homes that follows practice and medicines management guidelines Main duties of the job Undertake the timely and safe dispensing of all drugs prescribed to dispensing patients, observing all the relevant legal requirements About us We are a supportive, close-knit team of clinical and administrative staff including 6 GPs, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 Healthcare Assistant, Dispensing staff, Secretarial staff and Reception Staff. Dispose of expired drug stock and patient returns which comply with the medicine safety standards. Assist in the completion of the regulated Controlled Drugs Register Dispense and record private prescriptions and corresponding payments. Assist in the monthly completion of Form FP34 PPD. Ensure dispensary equipment is properly maintained, cleaned and monitored (e.g vaccine fridge) Ensure the safe and secure storage of all drugs within the dispensary.
