Job summary Willerby & Swanland Surgery has a fantastic opportunity for a medical secretary to join our team. It is a rarity to be able to offer this position at the surgery but due to retirement of a long standing staff member we are looking to recruit. The hours will be part time of 17 per week, but there is a requirement to cover holidays and sickness absence so there is a need for flexibility in this role. We are passionate about developing and delivering excellent quality services to meet the needs of our patients and are looking for someone ideally experienced in working in Primary Care. Main duties of the job To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the whole team. Duties can include, but are not limited to, the processing of information, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers in accordance with current policies. Processing patient referrals using the electronic referral service (ERS). About us Willerby and Swanland Surgery have recently located into a wonderful, purpose-built GP practice in Anlaby. We have an expanding patient list, which currently stands at over 10600. Over the next 3 years, this is expected to increase even further to 12500.
