Your New Role
As an Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Design Lead, you will be responsible for designing and delivering on-street EV charging stations. Reporting to the Electrical Principal Engineer, you will oversee complex electrical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and coordinating with civil and structural teams to ensure seamless project execution. This role requires expertise in electrical infrastructure, design approval processes, and ensuring that installations meet relevant technical regulations. You will also be responsible for quality control and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly for highway electrical assets.
Your Background
The ideal candidate will hold an HND or HNC in a relevant electrical discipline and have proven experience in on-street EV charging infrastructure design. A strong understanding of electrical industry standards, including wiring regulations and specifications for highway electrical assets, is essential. Experience with Trimble, AutoCAD, or any electrical design software is required, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
