The Role:
Inventya is leading on Innovate UK Edge Scaleup Programme. We are looking for a skilled projectManager with market research skills to join our Scaleup team. This role ispivotal in driving the success of funded programmes aimed at bringinginnovative solutions to market. The ideal candidate will possess a strongbackground in project management and research analysis, with a keen interest ininnovation and commercialisation processes. This position will particularlyfocus on supporting project initiatives that add value to highly ambitious andinnovative companies, part of the Innovate UK Business Growth Scaleup Programmeand its Alumni, most specifically including the Scaleup Growth Account Projectand the Alumni NED Project.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Management:
* Support projectinitiatives that add value to companies participating in the Innovate UKBusiness Growth Scaleup Programme and its Alumni, with a specific focuson the Scaleup Growth Account Project and the Alumni NED Project.
* Lead on developingdetailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resourceallocation.
* Coordinate withcross-functional teams (funded, finance, admin) to ensure projectobjectives are met.
* Monitor project progressand implement adjustments as necessary to ensure successful projectdelivery.
* Prepare and presentproject status reports to stakeholders and funding bodies.
Research and Analysis:
* Conduct market researchto identify trends, opportunities, and potential barriers in thecommercialisation of innovations. This support will be directed towardsthe existing SU clients, alumni clients and others.
* Analyse data and preparecomprehensive reports to support decision-making processes.
* Maintain up-to-dateknowledge of industry developments and emerging technologies.
Stakeholder Engagement:
* Build and maintainstrong relationships with project stakeholders, including ScaleupDirectors (SUD), service providers, compliance, and Innovate UK BusinessGrowth.
* Facilitate effectivecommunication and collaboration among stakeholders.
* Represent theorganisation at industry events, conferences, and meetings.
* Engage with companies inthe Innovate UK Business Growth Scaleup Programme and its Alumni tounderstand their needs and challenges.
* Support the continuousimprovement of innovation processes and methodologies.
* Support theimplementation of the Scaleup Growth Account Project and the Alumni NEDProject, ensuring these initiatives add significant value to theparticipating companies.
Requirements
Skills and Experience(existing and/or to be developed)
* Proven experience in project managementand research analysis, preferably in an innovation or commercialisationsetting.
* Strong understanding ofinnovation processes and commercialisation pathways.
* Excellent analytical andproblem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in projectmanagement software and tools.
* Exceptional communication andinterpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independentlyand as part of a team.
* Strong organisational and timemanagement abilities.
* Knowledge of fundingmechanisms and grant management.
* Focused and insightful marketresearch capabilities.
