If so, please read on for further information The opportunity Given increased project expansion, a fantastic opportunity has opened up for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to become responsible for working on a Mechanical and Electrical project within the turbine hall of a new-build nuclear power station. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for managing the delivery of critical infrastructure and ensuring the successful implementation of the mechanical and electrical fabrication and installation works. The role Salary Range: £65k - £85k Per Anum Car Allowance: £425 per month The role will be located in Bridgewater, Somerset (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote) Working Hours: 40 hours per week You will have the following duties and responsibilities Ensure the construction team achieves best value to meet the contract commercial targets. Adhere to contractual processes and commercial governance. Utilise significant commercial experience with NEC & FIDIC contracts. Assist with contract production and negotiations to secure the best terms. Prepare monthly site valuation reports and work progress updates. Support project payment applications and verify sub-contractor claims. Manage the project budget, cash flow, and provide accurate forecasting. Coordinate with contractors, site teams, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials. Support with purchasing compliant materials for the project.You will have the following qualifications and experience Strong commercial focus. Experience with FIDIC and NEC contracts. Degree or equivalent qualification in a similar field. Chartered or working towards Chartership. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a QS role on large projects. Nuclear experience preferred but not essential.
