Position: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Bedford
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3 Tier 8 hour shifts
Salary: £40,000 + Bonus, generous holiday allowance & pension
Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for a new challenge? Look no further! A leading FMCG company in Bedford is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to carry out maintenance activities across a food and beverage production facility.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all maintenance activities, including preventative and breakdown maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
2. Optimize PPM schedules and improve equipment uptime.
3. Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns.
4. Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime during maintenance.
5. Develop and implement maintenance improvement projects.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need previous experience as a maintenance engineer ideally within an FMCG environment, with a strong electro-mechanical bias and the ability to fault find on production machinery. An excellent understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics, as well as the ability to read technical drawings and schematics, is desirable. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a proactive approach to preventative maintenance.
Ideal Qualifications:
1. BTECH/ONC qualification as a minimum in an Electrical discipline or Multi skilled Engineering qualification.
2. C&G 2330 Level 3 Electro-technical certificate combined with NVQ 3 Electrical Maintenance.
3. Time served apprentice.
4. HNC level in electrical, mechanical or production maintenance engineering.
