Further company information is detailed on Merit’s website: www.merit.co.uk Key Responsibilities: Building and maintaining relationships with embedded partners Compiling enquiry information from drawings, specifications and Merit documentation working with the project and estimating team pulling together the scope of works Completing the correct due diligence on subcontractors including CHAS, Insurances and H&S Policy, and maintaining this information going forward Leading subcontractor negotiations including Terms and Conditions, Best Value for Money, Payment Teams, Rebates etc) Completing adjudication of all quotations received for work packages to ensure the right subcontractor is selected for the required works. Compiling NEC or JCT pass down contracts from the Client contract to the subcontractor (contracts can range from £10k to £1million), Letters of Intent and Site Instructions Completing Purchase Orders on Netsuite Compiling all required Collateral Warranties from subcontractors Liaising with staff in other departments including Finance, Quality, Design Coordination, BIM Providing and sending out information and reports when needed, provide accurate reporting in line with company requirements to weekly Procurement meetings, including updates on the stage of each work package from enquiry to contract placement. Establish close working relationships with site teams on each project Ensure efficient thorough planning and organisation for the department including the planning and preparation of meetings, conferences and conference calls whether internal or external Performing all other duties in accordance with the business needs Qualifications and Skills: Have a brief understanding of NEC and JCT contracts including commercial dialogue CIPS Level 4 or Level 5 Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task Have demonstrated a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of Modular Building would be advantageous.
