Are you a Psychology Graduate seeking first-hand experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? If so, this opportunity is tailor-made for you!
Position: Psychology Graduate – Teaching Assistant
Ideal for: Aspiring Educational Psychologists or Clinical Psychologists
Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-on-one support to SEN children.
2. Work with children presenting with Autism, Global Delay, and Speech & Language difficulties.
Contract Details:
One-year contract from September to July, term time only, £85-100 per day (inclusive of holiday entitlement).
We are seeking a Psychology Graduate with a genuine desire to acquire more child-centred experience, particularly with vulnerable children requiring additional support.
In your role as a Teaching Assistant, you will work with children who are considered vulnerable. These children typically have EHCPs and may be non-verbal, have social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, or various other additional needs. It is necessary to have prior experience in supporting SEN children in some capacity to be considered for this position.
Psychology Graduates will benefit from comprehensive Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities offered by the school. Both internal and external training sessions are regularly conducted, including specialized manual handling training such as 'Team Teach' to equip you for challenging scenarios that may arise while working with vulnerable SEN children.
