Trainee Workshop and Delivery Engineer
Salary dependent on skills and experience
Full-time, Days (8.30 am to 5.00 pm) 1 hour for lunch. Start and finish times may be flexed to fit around business demand.
Location: Malmo Road, Hull and territory HU7 - driving licence essential.
Travel Required: This role is site and field based.
Key Purpose:
To provide a back-up service to the field engineers in preparing machines for installation and the repair/refurbishment of machines for re-sale. Additionally, to deliver machines, parts, and consumables as needed. This is an entry-level position in the service engineer team.
KPI’s:
To follow standard operating procedures and company policy to ensure cost-effective delivery, setup, repair, and refurbishment of machines, parts, and consumables.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Undertake the setup, refurbishment, and repair of new, second-hand, and customer machines in the workshop.
* Efficiently manage time and resources to reduce costs to the company.
* Report to the Service Supervisor regarding any technical or equipment issues that cannot be resolved immediately.
* Support service engineers where necessary.
* Undertake delivery of machines, consumables, and parts to maintain a high level of customer service.
* Assist with site installations when and where necessary.
* Complete all manufacturer training on any equipment required to perform the role within set timeframes.
* Ensure any assigned vehicles are always roadworthy and clean.
* Responsible for keeping the workshop, warehouse, and showroom areas tidy.
* Undertake all additional tasks assigned by senior management.
* Always follow health and safety requirements.
