In Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Maternity Services, we have a great opportunity for motivated enthusiastic & dynamic Band 6 midwives to join our community teams and make a difference to women / pregnant people and their families. We are seeking midwives who are passionate about physiological birth and providing exemplary low risk care to women/ pregnant people and their babies.
Main duties of the job
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board supports approximately 5500 births per year. We are able to offer a range of opportunities for midwives working within our services.
Our community midwifery teams, support antenatal and postnatal care whilst facilitating births at home, and within the free standing birth centre at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr ( YYF), and the birthing pod in Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan (YAB) in Ebbw Vale. We are able to offer pool births at each of our sites. These positions will provide the opportunity to enhance your clinical knowledge and skills in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Ante Clinics are provided in the Local General Hospital sites, at Ystrad Mynach, Nevill Hall Hospital, Royal Gwent Hospital County & Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan These clinics provide care closer to home for the local population
We have one obstetric unit sited at Cwmbran within The Grange University Hospital,
We are currently seeking band 6 midwives to join our community midwifery teams team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
