Windsor Forest College Group is looking for A Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer to join the Strodes team on a term-time, full-time basis.
Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer
Working on a Term Time Plus (42 weeks per year) Full Time Basis, the role of the safeguarding and wellbeing officer in the Sixth Form includes providing support to the college community in safeguarding cases, working with external agencies, and attending meetings on behalf of the college. They also collaborate with safeguarding leaders to promote student wellbeing and a positive mindset, contribute to the administration of behaviour management procedures, and assist in implementing an effective wellbeing strategy for staff and students.
Specific duties and responsibilities of the safeguarding and wellbeing officer include:
1. Making referrals and managing a caseload of students with a variety of support requirements.
2. Taking on the role of designated safeguarding officer on a rota basis.
3. Representing the college at external multiagency meetings.
4. Providing front-line wellbeing support for students.
5. Collecting data and reporting on safeguarding, wellbeing, and student participation.
6. Maintaining clear communication and consistency of approach with other safeguarding teams.
7. Assisting with general enquiries, supporting incidents and emergencies, and contributing to the smooth running of the college campuses.
8. Organizing cross-college events and special projects for students.
9. Maintaining positive links with community and third sector providers.
10. Overseeing student social spaces and promoting positive student behaviour.
11. Participating in college activities such as open evenings and student interviewing and enrolment arrangements.
