Hays Health & Safety are delighted to be working with this award-winning Contractor in recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager to join the team.
Based in Cheshire, this is a fantastic opportunity to join this Construction Contractor to drive H&S strategies and operations across the business.
Your key duties and responsibilities will be primarily to drive H&S standards, strategies and procedures across the business, and to foster a collaborative safety culture. You'll be supporting the project teams with guidance and the processes required to maximize H&S across their sites.
You will have full responsibility for carrying out H&S plans, RAMS (in conjunction with site teams), site audits, and inspections. You'll drive environmental practices across the company, with an ethos of application and improvement in line with the overall business's environmental objectives.
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong background in driving the highest standards of H&S within a construction environment, ideally with experience working for a Principal Contractor. You should be able to build rapport with site project teams, demonstrating strong communication and excellent leadership skills while successfully driving H&S strategies, policies, and procedures across live sites.
Minimum requirements include extensive experience working for a Main Contractor in a H&S Management role. You must have NEBOSH certification and a working knowledge of Environmental standards, or ideally be working towards an Environmental qualification.
