An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the Digital Systems Team as Data Quality Officer. The post will be focused on reviewing data quality reports related to the Trusts digital systems. This will be a pivotal role in ensuring systems run optimally.
We are looking for individuals with good attention to detail, proficiency in working from spreadsheets, ability to prioritise workload and working to specified deadlines. The successful candidate will be required to work through various reports and on other data related tasks as required. The candidate will be part of a larger team that sits within the Digital Services department and will have an insight into various digital roles in the NHS.
Experience in data entry and use of Microsoft Office applications is essential.
This post is a crucial post to support the Trust in having confidence in the quality of the information it provides internally and externally. The role will support the Trust to correcting data errors for all areas, and in doing so improve the patient record.
The Data Quality Officer will work with the Digital Systems Team ensuring data is correctly recorded on the Patient Administration System. Their work will be monitored by the team and the Clinical Coding & Data Quality Manager.
The post-holder will need to exercise initiative and use independent judgement, knowledge and analysis to check that details recorded within the patient journey reflect a true record of events. The post-holder will need to have a keen eye for detail and be comprehensive in their investigations.

Regular validation of system errors, this will require knowledge of the Trust systems, the causes of the errors and resolving the issue.
Regular validation of the common user errors, including investigating cause of error, resolving conflicting information and sourcing data from a range of sources.
Ensure data correction is undertaken to guarantee accurate patient data is held on the Patient Administration System and on clinical systems for reporting and other purposes.
Review data extracts and validate event dates against patient care information held electronically and within paper records to determine the correct information to be recorded on the Patient Administration System and on clinical systems.
Validation of end of month submissions to ensure all pathways are correct.
To ensure relevant Trust policies are implemented, maintained, monitored and reviewed across all sites.
Any other duties/responsibilities appropriate to the role, as delegated by their line manager.
