Job Description
To repair, maintain and service any equipment associated with the manufacture of the company products. Support, instruct and train where necessary any personnel associated with the equipment.
To carry out PPM inspections to schedule.
To participate in the continuous improvement activity to assure the site's efficiency, driving down manufacturing costs, waste materials, and controlling the 7 wastes.
Responsibilities
1. Carry out maintenance function adopting safe working practices.
2. Perform effectively in a Lean Manufacturing Environment.
3. Identify spares requirements to reduce unplanned downtime of machines.
4. Work alongside the management team to improve Health, Safety and Environmental obligations, protecting the business and staff.
5. Liaise with internal customers to ensure effective communication of work carried out.
Skills Required
Essential
1. Experience at Fault Finding on machines.
2. Ability to read Circuit and Ladder Diagrams.
3. Time served Multi skilled Electrical and Mechanical qualifications (Min C&G Level 3).
4. Experience working in the Factory environment.
5. Excellent Team Worker/Communicator.
Desirable
1. Lean Manufacturing Systems Trained.
2. ONC Electrical and/or Mechanical.
3. Health and Safety Qualification.
4. COSHH awareness.
5. Business Improvement Techniques Level 2.
6. IT Awareness.
7. MEWP License.
8. FLT Driving Licence.
Educational Requirements
Note:
42 working hours per week
2 Shift rotating pattern. Week 1: Monday to Thursday 6am to 3pm with a 30 minute paid break each day and Friday 6am to 12noon. Week 2: Monday to Thursday 2:30pm to 11:30pm with a 30 minute paid break each day and Friday 11:30am to 5:30pm.
