We are looking for an energetic,innovative, forwardthinking,and self-motivatedclinician who has a background in Advanced Nursepractice andis anindependent non-medical prescriberor working towards this qualification. You willhaveexperienceof working autonomouslyunder their own initiativeand whocan respond to rapidly changing service priorities within a primaryand acute care setting. Youwill be expected to perform comprehensive assessment of patients with urgent presentations and develop working diagnosis and treatment plans whilst working without direct supervision.
The IUCRS is an evolving and constantly developing team incorporating the following areas: Urgent Community Response (UCR), the cleric ambulance system (working in conjunction with EEAST), virtual wards, in reach into the Integrated Rapid Assessment service (IRAS) based in the Emergency Department Colchester General Hospital, Unplanned Community Nursing and OPAT IV antibiotic service. The role involves travelling throughout Northeast Essex delivering, assessing, and treating patients in their own homes, within 2 hours, as a part of IUCRS Urgent Community Response Team (UCR).
The role of the advanced practitioner isdynamic,and you will be proactive in developing this role further in response to challenges within advanced practice. The post will havean important rolein integrating policy, education, practice development and research relevant to the needs of the patients,staff,and students. The successful applicantwill be supported in their development asanadvanced practitioner by a mentor anda robust appraisal process andallocatedtime for continuing professional development will beallocated.
You must hold a relevant qualification with community experience or other comparable/transferable skills.Youshould have a good understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation and treatment methods used in this specialist field andbe adaptable to change and embrace innovation.We are committed to supporting you in your professional development ensuring you have opportunities to attendappropriate trainingto support you to reach your full potential.
The IUCRS team is a multi-disciplinary team based in Kennedy House Clacton-On-Sea, with other bases in Colchester.Our team delivers high quality care,08:00 – 20:007 day a week within theNortheastEssex community. We will offer individually tailored induction, training, and support for successful candidates.A car driver is essential.
