Our Operational Excellence (OE) team collaborate to deliver high quality change and transformation for UKSBS and its Clients. Supporting and delivering formal changes requests, operational continuous improvements, digital and automation developments and improvements across UKSBS and our Clients. It is a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Through your role you will be helping to support many key stakeholders and subject matter experts across the organisation and our customer base, by developing the team and growing the capability for delivering change. Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
* Contributing significantly to implementing the business strategy for Operations by driving the evolving ways of working and promoting learning across the wider team.
* Day-to-day line management of the OE specialists and OE Coordinators.
* Communicating business objectives and department goals, ensuring that the team understands the short-, medium- and long-term objectives and how their work contributes to achieving these goals.
* Managing capacity across the team and assignments to specific deliverables.
* Working collaboratively with the OE Lead Service Partner's to assign team members to activity and obtain feedback on performance.
* Monitoring performance, providing feedback and ensuring development plans are in place for direct reports.
* Performing quality inspections and assessing processes, monitoring the quality of work and assessing processes to identify areas for improvement.
* Proactively driving performance improvement across the team.
* Creating and maintaining a strong network of stakeholders across the business.
* Demonstrating a forward-thinking mindset and the ability to make business decisions.
* Taking responsibility for quality and technical standards within the wider team.
To do this role well you will need:
* Experience of delivering change; working within team and/or across Operational services to identify opportunities and deliver improvements.
* Analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present concise and clear Management Information.
* A proven track record in Operational Excellence, with demonstrable experience of developing teams.
* Proven people management skills with the ability to motivate a successful team, influence, coach and motivate at all levels.
* Demonstrable experience managing risk, performance, and service delivery, and promoting continuous improvement.
* Good understanding of the working practices in an operations environment.
* Experience of engaging and influencing Specialists and Deputy/Senior Managers.
* Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage own workload and set priorities for others.
* Able to communicate at all levels, with good verbal and written skills.
* Good knowledge of one of our services - HR, Payroll, Finance, Procurement and/or Customer Support Services, highly advantageous.

Working pattern
We work a mixture of full and part time hours across a 37hr week.
